'The Lives of the First World War' project was operational from 12th May 2014 to 19th March 2019. The data collected was then frozen and no further contributions were able to be made.

A 'Permanent Digital Memorial' (PDM) site was launched on 28th June 2019 based on the original concept.

The links below (press ship name) are to the 'Ship Communities' on the PDM. It should be noted that at the time when the site was frozen many of these communities were not completed.

It is regrettable that at present the names within these 'Ship Communities' are not sorted in alphabetical order.

For the most up to date crew lists the 'Jutland Crew Lists Sheets' should always be consulted as these are updated in realtime usually on a daily basis and are sorted in alphabetical order. However, the 'Ship Communities' may provide additional information on members of the crew.
